Lietharen Viresta

A Lunari Fae who grew up in the household of King Thellernath of Oriliath, Lietharen became the squire of Lord Celebraith, the King’s captain of the guard, and quickly showed his skill and promise even at an early age. He was trained personally by the knight in the art of personal combat, military tactics and warfare, and continued to rise in rank, becoming Lord Celebraith’s most trusted servant and lieutenant.
During the Frost War, Lietharen was dispatched with a contingent of soldiers under the command of Lord Celebraith, supporting Price Arrathea the in defense of Mandoreth from Ogrim forces. In a sudden ambush by overwhelming forces, his contingent was defeated by a band of Kuldur, led by the Jötun warlord, “Kagoth Irontusk” who killed Lord Celebriath in single combat. Lietharen later avenged his former master’s death by, with the aid of his companions, hunting down and killing Kagoth Irontusk and taking up his former master’s sword (an Elváen Star Sword) and shield with its badger crest.
After the war, Lietharen was part of the group that recovered Scalam’s Key (a dhiarzite key commissioned by the first Keeper of Onscra) from the labyrinthine undercity of Port Hansra at the bequest of Ukkassen himself.
