The Incarnation

The Incarnation (also known as the Encirclement) is the name given to event in which the Flame first appeared in the land of Aishelon, embodying the power of God in the material world. It was the event central to recorded history, and the date on which the years of the Standard Reckoning are based (i.e. The Year of the Crucible).
In the land of Athelia, in the presence of the virgin Matriarch Sarai and her adopted people, that on the height of a seaward peninsula, the great prophecy of The Age of Advent was fulfilled. A great Valloran tree burst into flame with the living power of God, and its branches were woven into a living circle. Encircled in power and glory, the Crucible of the Flame was revealed: the very presence of God on Aerith.
