SFC Session 11: Sabbat Sabotage

The coterie made their final preparations before confronting the Sabbat, Ellie spending some quality time with Julie while Eidard and Oliver met up with the Anarch leaders. Julie was scared to go back to the offices in Silicon Valley after so many lupine attacks, so Ellie offered her a job at the Scarlet Starlounge to help with her expenses. It would take a lot of training from Eddie for Julie to remember all the different drink types, but Ellie felt more confident with all her friends and allies under one roof. Meanwhile Eidard's ghoul James reported back after tracking Andrew for a couple days, reporting that he'd gone into a church that Eva Cisneros had also visited. It seemed like a group of monster hunters was starting to form in San Francisco, but between lupines and Sabbat this problem would have to wait for another day. Finally the day arrived for the coterie to take on the Sabbat and deliver on their end of the bargain with William. The Anarch scouts called their burner phone, but with conflicting reports: LaKeith's scout said the Sabbat were hiding out on the highway north towards Sacremento, but a scout and close friend of Chloe's reported that the Sabbat were seen on the road to Fremont. The coterie decided to meet up with Chloe and her Anarchs, driving across the bay towards a desolate intersection abandoned among the city sprawl. They distributed molotov cocktails and firearms, splitting the dozen Anarchs into a couple groups to investigate the various buildings. While Ellie and Eidard scoped out a suspicious-looking convenience store, Oliver and his Anarchs got jumped by a shadowy Lasombra in a dark motel room. The vampire bit into Oliver and fed on some of his vitae, but Ellie and Eidard raced over to rescue him from the scene before regrouping to take on the remaining Sabbat in a nearby church. They managed to surround the building, gunning down all the kindred inside while Eidard used his blood sorcery to intercept any Sabbat that tried to escape. Inside they found most of the vampires either dead or dying, some blood ritual interrupted by their surprise attack. A Sabbat priest near the altar remarked on how Lakeith was supposed to have lured the Anarchs into an ambush north of town, but the priest wasn't allowed to talk for much longer until Eidard tried to diablerize him. Despite clearing out a pack of Sabbat the mood wasn't celebratory among the Anarchs, discovering that their cell leader had betrayed them to the Sabbat with their numbers severely diminished. Chloe asked the coterie if they'd be willing to let the Anarchs relocate to their domain in Parkside, and the coterie slowly agreed as they realized that it was impossible to stay neutral in these vampiric conflicts.
