San Francisco
A onetime haven for hippies and grizzled detectives, San Francisco is now on the cusp of a tech boom that'll transform every facet of the city and the world at large.
Vampires: The city's been in Camarilla hands ever since its founding, a Ventrue known as The Viceroy overseeing the Golden City for over two centuries. Anarchs started gaining influence in the region in the 1960's, taking control of territory in Oakland and the Santa Clara Valley. But Anarch gains were erased by Sabbat attacks in the mid-1990's, a collection of exiled Camarilla from Portland seizing the opportunity to take control of Portland in 1995. The Camarilla still firmly control San Francisco despite the Viceroy's disappearnce due to the Beckoning and the rise of Ace Andrews as the new Prince, but the Parkside neighborhood has recently become a new Anarch haven with Ellie Béliveau's Scarlet Starlounge acting as the territory's headquarters.
Mages: San Francisco serves as headquarters to the Pentacle's largest Consilium in the western United States, frequently hosting assemblies of mages from both sides of the Pacific at Coit Tower near Fisherman's Wharf. Navy, the consilium leader, has managed to unite a large number of mages under a common cause as he tries to perform a powerful ritual to contact other planes of existence.
Werewolves: The Sept of Alta California waged several raids against the tech companies of Silicon Valley, causing many companies to shut their doors for good and creating a panic among investors. The raids ended in the summer after attracting too much attention from the Unusual Incidents Unit, but there are still many werewolf packs roaming the parks surrounding the Bay Area.
