SoLA Session 1: 'Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash'

These words were written on a piece of parchment given to the coterie at Elysium two nights before Christmas, a wishlist from the Platinum Blonde herself for certain kind of bloods in these nights when the Camarilla are threatened on all sides. The coterie had been enjoying a quiet night at Whitney's home prior to their invitation to Studio '42, but they were quick to accept the assignment to stay in the Prince's good graces and put an end to the Toreador gossip around their unusual coterie. K had just run into her old ex-girlfriend Cesca, so she was more than ready to leave Elysium and start looking for blood. 
It was easy to deduce that the first two lines referred to mages and hunters, but the third line led to some debate over what could be considered as the worst day of someone's life. Ezekiel forcefully summoned a spirit to locate the nearest mage in town that could help with the first item on the wishlist, pointed towards Griffith Observatory for further information. Meanwhile John reached out to some of his criminal contacts to find out what kind of firearms were being sold to see if they could find any hunters in LA. 
The meeting happened at a Home Depot in Huntington Park, the contact mentioning how a lot of incendiary rounds had been sold to some out-of-towners. This confirmed John and the coterie's suspicions, but before they could act on the intel they were attacked by a molotov cocktail thrown out of a nearby vehicle. Ezekiel's longtime rival Archibald Blackwood had sent some of his ghouls after the coterie for trespassing in Anarch territory, but the vampires avoided falling into a frenzy and quickly recovered from the ambush. Whitney leaped onto the other car and incapacitated the ghouls with rapid precision, the rest of the coterie wringing them dry for any piece of info they had about Blackwood. One of the ghouls mentioned how there was an Anarch spy in Camarilla territory, and as thanks for the tip John brainwashed the ghoul and compelled him to personally deliver a death threat back to Blackwood. 
With the night still young, the party started driving up to Griffith Observatory for a little magic show...
