Leray Champion
The Leray Champion is the leader of Sprawn Valley, determined by which wielder can prove they are the most powerful and well trained in the arts of Leray combat. There is only one champion, thier term limited to how long they can remain undefeated by the other weilders that officially challenge them.
Qualifications
Must be a citizen of Sprawn Valley, graduated from any magic academy with at least Level 3: Advanced training, and defeated all members of the League of Elites in order of lowest to highest rank, including the previous champion successively and without a single defeat in the event. Training to run the nation comes after inauguration. This event is conducted through the championship battle events hosted in Eldora Tower.
Requirements
Defeat the prior champion after defeating the other four elites without a single defeat in a leagal series of Leray battles.
Duties
The Champion of Sprawn Valley is the leader of the entire nation, one to serve and protect his own people. He is responcible for commanding the General Army, while preparing himself or herself for additional battles against other wielders who may wish to challenge and defeat him.
Responsibilities
Maintaining foreign relations by speaking to national leaders. Signing and approving new bills brought out by the mage council. Conducting battles with any wielder that attains chain level 4 status through the championship battles event, or against an existing elite of his own team should they directly challenge him. Monitoring the security of Eldora Tower and maintaining the crystal core, heart of all Leray magic.
Benefits
Champions make some of the best wages. But if their own elite challenges them to a duel and that champion wins, a motherload of credits is also rewarded from that wielder as a requirement. The champion can live inside of Eldora Tower and change the structure of the League of Elites as he or she sees fit. This position holds great political power as well.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Multiple sets of royal attire that belong to the tower mages can be worn and used in combat for the champion. Royal attire is used for formal settings or meetings/comfort, while battle robes are used for protection in combat. The champion is also granted the permission to take part in the Trial of Mages, where if sucessful, he may inherit the Mega-Staff, so long as the previous champion owner of the Mega-Staff does not posess the device or rather the connection to Entiene they would have obtained by completing the Trial of Mages.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Other than being defeated by another wielder, the only means of removal from office is to hold an emergency impeachment process that requires the vote of the Mage Council, Tower elites & mages, popular vote by the citizens, and votes from the military combined. The session can also only be initiated when the council finds and convicts the champion with proof of committing a serious crime.

Most citizens see this rank as a national leader, someone to respect, just as the United States citizens respect their elected president.
