Tilsit Lighthouse

The Lighthouse of Tilsit Port is unlike the standard lighthouse of Monoc Port. Standing much taller and staffed with hundreds of workers, this lighthouse has an underground level station with advanced electronic equipment used for two purposes; logging communication data for future classification, and managing the entire communication network for all regions of Sprawn Valley. This Lighthouse is known as a communications center and a data hub, which has become more important since the expanded use of hand-held radio transmitters.

Purpose / Function

To handle communication requests from any authorized personnel with rank higher than a Leray agent, classifying important information with data encryption, and declassifying certain material on behalf of government officials for publishing to the national library. Of course, this is also a lighthouse, so its massive bulbs helps ships navigate the nearby seaport during poor light conditions.

Alterations

Initially, this lighthouse was just that; a lighthouse. But beginning just before 1895, special underground modifications were made to accommodate the underground rooms that make up its entire communications and data collection center.

Architecture

The lighthouse was initially built with a dense level of stone, held together with the same adhesive materials used in ancient castles. But after the creation of synthesis on metal materials, the lighthouse was reconstructed from the ground up using the best and most sturdy combination of elements that could be acquired. The stairs up and down the facility form an internal spiral so that the lighthouse maintains its shape and massive vertical height of 200 meters. The bulb used in the lighthouse has a standard output of 25,000 lumens, and can last up to three years using relatively cheap materials. The underground section of the facility is even more stable than the structure itself, designed to withstand a combination of the most powerful magical attacks and the worst of natural disasters, though it is not large enough to be used as a civilian based evacuation center. The data center is installed with over fifty computers individually wired into a network server, separate from the radio transmission equipment. Leray agents of higher rank guard the interior of this building.
