Rothus Hain

Jedi Master Rothus Hain is a Mon Calamari member of the Jedi Council, and a former Master to both Adop'e and Praxar Null.

Background

Rothus Hain was born on Glee Anselm, the child of migrants who had moved to the Nautolan homeworld to work as artisans. He was identified relatively late at the age of seven by Jedi seekers, but was nonetheless taken to study on Coruscant. There, young Rothus rose quickly to the rank of Knight and then to Master, displaying a calm empathy which often put much more senior Jedi to shame.

Appearance

Rothus is a stark, pale white colour - the colour of bleached coral - and has a sturdy build for one of his people. He wears specially tailored amphibious robes and a streamlined cloak which allow him to operate in nearly any environment the Galaxy over.

Characteristics

Master Hain is renowned first and foremost as a skilled Jedi Knight and a master negotiator, having talked down conflicts with marauders and planetary governors alike. Ever a diplomat, Master Hain turns to talking as his first tool, but is also a skilled duelist (favouring Form 3). As a Master, he has trained a great many Padawan already - more than any other sitting Master had by his age. Master Hain is also notable for his political stances - namely the view that the Jedi should take a more active role in galactic peacekeeping, justice and governance in the aftermath of the Republic-Sith Wars. Many regard him as a potential future Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, but for the fact that his politics set him at odds with the current Grandmaster, Siiq Tuuyrkyy.

Current events

Our protagonists encountered Master Hain on Dantooine, following their reclamation of the Jedi Enclave. He provided succor to Adop'e, reiterating that he remains welcome in the Jedi Order, and was generous to both Azleen and Krum.
