Session 2: The Ruins of Carida, Part I

General Summary

Upon arriving in the Carida system, The Mynock's Wing is immediately attacked by 3 TIE fighters coming from the Carida Memorial Station. After some initial chaos and uncertainty, each padawan found their role on the ship and was able to destroy one of the fighters after taking some damage. Master Dal Konur used the Force to finish off another fighter, while the third escaped. After arriving at the station, the group gets through the initial security, keeping their lightsabers hidden beneath their robes. Master Konur asks the padawans to explore a bit on their own while he does some investigating by himself. He takes a turbolift and The Initiates explore the Port Hangar. Lem and Rin are able to make their way into the docking control station where they find that the engineer there doesn't seem to know anything about Kyp, although the security records would be kept in the adjacent security room. The two enter, but are immediately turned away under threat of arrest. Tomla reaches out in the Force and feels the need to explore the cargo bay on this level before moving on. Inside the bay, they find an old Duro trader named Ismar Tun who is looking for his goods and can't find them. He is not very friendly toward them and is not interested in their help. However, is does give them some advice about avoiding the "T&L's" (The True and Loyals), a group of radical ex-imperials who hate the New Republic, Jedi, and non-humans in general. Tomla and Lem head to Level 3 to check out the cantina and rec area while Rin stays behind in the cargo bay to tinker with the maintenance droid there. While he is able to bypass its security and get it to follow him, security stops him and destroys the droid rather than let a Jedi wander off with it. Meanwhile, Tomla and Lem chat up some station security, including a security officer with a T&L patch. Tomla notices a security chip on the officer, which Lem is able to pickpocket without him knowing. Rin joins the other two on Level 3, where they plan to continue looking for any evidence that Kyp was here.
