Do You Want To Buy A Starship? Going Once....Going Twice...
General Summary
Okay, now we're talking! Hutts! Crazy Sith! Bankers! It's an auction!
- The group arrives at Lorrd and scope out the ships before requesting to land for the Retreat. Surprisingly, the Retreat has no space for them until they indicate they are there for the Auction. Rooms at another nearby hotel are arranged.
- A Chiss woman, Allisan Ventrus, meets them at their ship and confirms their funds for the Auction, their legal representative, and the itinerary of events. Asha is disguised as Doctor H'oo, a Zeltron who provided the transportation for the Ronin Jedi. Niwadi of Arbitration House Qiju is their negotiator, and the rest of the Ronin themselves.
- They are provided with the exchange rate for their Imperial Power Crystals and an offer of credit is made by the Chiss Ascendancy, of 100,000 credits for mercenary work to be done by the Ronin in the future, with some reductions in amount if the Jedi wish no violation of their Code and/or issues with the danger level.
- The group goes to the Resort to dine and get a feel for others at the auction. Asha causes quite a stir and gains the attention of Lord Iniquitis, who warns her away from staying with Jedi. The Hutt also sends her a drink. Actually most of the room sends her a drink.
- A Sith Apprentice attempts to start something with Gridtok, who cleverly apologizes for the affront and confuses the Sith by being polite.
- Niwadi is recognized as a Racer by the Hutt, Jakunta, and his Arbiter, Adrien, a Twi'lek.
- The next day is brunch and the Auction. Asha spends time chatting with the Knights of Reygar, who make the Pain Cultists look differently insane. The Ronin are unable to purchase the first light cruiser available, and must attempt to attain the second in the last round.
- During the silent auction, Tor'vir and Gridtok have fun with the Sith present, and avoid starting fights. Many people are curious why the Ronin Jedi are present, what they're after, and if they are available to hire.
- The Banking Clan makes an offer to the Jedi through Niwadi. They will bid on a package of the droid fighters for the Ronin to use in stabilizing the Mirial trade routes, particularly Torunga to Mirial. They will request acknowledgement that they provided the droid ships in terms of helping stabilizing the region, and it is strongly implied that if the Ronin fail to stabilize the area they will owe the Banking Clan for the droid fighters. Niwadi takes the deal.
- Depsite a last minute bidding war brought on by the Voidwolf, who is upset the Ronin might paint a ship brown, the group manages to secure the second light cruiser. Purchases made, they check out the ship, load it with droid fighters, and head to the hyperspace lane (with Amur following in the Starcrawler) when suddenly the ship loses power!

Things Learned
- The Banking Clan had dossiers on everyone in attendance, except the Ronin Jedi, so the Intelligence Officer's implication that this was a last minute infiltration seems legitimate.
- The Resort had not expected additional attendees, but they were full for a private event. The Intelligence Officer indicated they weren't sending their original agent, so a room should have been free.
- Most people were interested in Ronin Jedi for various reasons, but it is clear we are unusual, and no one is sure what to do with us. Hire us? Intimidate? Make friends? All tactics were tried.
- Offers of credit from the Chiss were made to other individuals, not just the Ronin Jedi. The Chiss would not accept offers of Slaves as currency for bidding.
Gridtok thinks the Republic should be warned that the Chorus of Reygar is trying to set up a false-flag operation. Given that predilection and their purchase of a stealth ship, recordings of 'incidents' should be carefully scrutinized before being accepted as genuine. Also, the Void Wolf seems bored. Gridtok suggests they hire him, before someone else does.
