Mechis III

Mechis III is a rocky, volcanic planet which is one of the primary droid design and manufacturing centers for the Inner Rim, if not the galaxy. Dotted by automated droid factories, it has provided the means to design and create all manner of droids for generations.
Many of the galaxy’s largest droid design firms subcontract work to the companies that run factories on Mechis III, as the automated systems are one of the most efficient.
Around Mechis III is Arcadia Station, the primary shipping and commerce hub for the entire system.

Geography

A rocky and volcanic planet. A long mountain chain stretches around the main continental shelf. The entire mountain range contains active volcanoes that erupt almost seasonally.
Ancient lava flows have spread across lower basins providing a rich soil where large stands of cactus trees grow into wide forests. Due to the volcanic nature of the world, the few plants that grow here have developed a natural fire resistance. The sap from these trees are used to create a fire retardant coating.
The cactus trees are called sunspike trees.

Fauna & Flora

Despite being a rocky desert world, Mechis III has a diverse ecosystem that is well suited to the arid climate.
From the cactus like sunspike trees to the flying reptilian shoats, the world is far from desolate.

Natural Resources

Mechis III is rich in the heavier minerals which allowed the world to develop and fine tune material manufacturing practices.
This world also has an abundance of skargiri crystals which are mined and refined for energy collection and droid neural net manufacturing.
