Mechis IV

The farthest planet out in the Mechis System, is the ice world of Mechis IV. Nothing more than a world covered in frozen methane and hydrocarbon slush, it has been used in times past as a material source for hydrocarbons for manufacturing.

Geography

The rocky world is a wasteland of frozen methane and hydrocarbons, creating the largest snow and ice deserts in the Jasco Sector.
Despite its location, the world has a crude atmosphere but this is only maintained by the occasional half-frozen eruptions of liquid methane from under the crust. This rains down on the surface as either methane blizzards or hailstorms.
Both member organizations of the Mining Guild and enterprising free traders have set up small hydrocarbon mining outposts here. Abandoned ruins of old operations can be occasionally located with some careful sensor work.

Natural Resources

The only natural resources on this world is the abundant frozen methane and hydrocarbon snow.
