Darkshines 03: "Don't Fool Yourself"

General Summary

Aboard the GUS Fury, Basile Lorieux takes command over the 1st and 2nd GUSF fleets after the Fist of the Dominion discharges. After the party awakens from cryostasis having crash landed on Issoire, Phoebe meets Vesta, Dr. Toyama's cat. After the party gets back together with Jean Violette Cloutier, they head for the center of the city as their Siliconian infection worsens.
With Dr. Toyama and Matoi still missing, the party rests in Jean's palace, hallucinating as the Siliconian hivemind reaches out to them. Jean reports to the party that the firing of the Fist caused Siliconians to attack due to the massive discharge of exotic matter, that the GUSF is engaged with them for a battle for the planet. After resting, Jean's primary concubine Rosine stops by to hate on Phoebe. With the party's life fading fast, they set out with Jean to find Dr. Toyama at the Base Militaire du Lys, hoping that he will be able to stop their infection. Phoebe learns of Davion's orders to protect her aboard the Darkshines.
