Siliconians

Siliconians are a group of parasitic Silicon-based life forms theorized to originate from the Carina–Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way galaxy. While most commonly referred to as a single species, Siliconians are actually a diverse set of formerly independent lifeforms assimilated into a eusocial hierarchy.

Types

There is scientific debate around which form of Siliconian is the original that predates other types. Most theories center around 'parasite' types being closest to a 'true' form of Siliconian. Some theories speculate the existence of a superordinate type of Siliconian that strictly controlled the Siliconian hive hierarchy - while this theory is sustained by rumors, no official confirmation has ever been given by the GUSF.
A number of types have been officially acknowledged to exist after the Siliconian War by the GUSF.
