Ecumenopolis of Nur Amlaar is a jewel of civilization, Noted for its cosmopolitan culture and towering skyscrapers, Nur Amlaar´s population consist of approximately one trillion citizens hailing from a vast array of both humanoid and alien species. Nur Amlaar´s surface is defined by its urban sprawl, where dense city blocks are built on top of each other. Nur Amlaar's skyscrapers are built with many reaching 6,000 meters into the atmosphere, with sleek, metal edifices standing next to older concrete structures. It is divided into sectors named by designated coordinates. must sectors also have unofficial names, with some of these made into official names. Sectors are further divided into zones, with zones determined by purpose, such as financial, senatorial, or industrial zones. The planet's skylanes directed the air-traffic of airspeeders via auto-navigation system that moves the speeders along preprogrammed routes. As such crashes are extremely rare. Precautions are taken though with and skytunnels incorporating bombproof shields and high-level tracking systems, and most structures on Nur Amlaar have defensive shields to protect windows from stray and out-of-control vehicles. The planet's residents are known as the Nur Amlaarti and of the estimated one trillion inhabitants of the planet, 68% are believed to be human. On Nur Amlaar, wealth increases with altitude: the lowermost levels are devoid of natural light and is an almost lawless under level, above them are countless blocks inhabited by billions of middle-class workers. The super-towers remains home to the ultra-wealthy.
