Philos
A rocky planet rich in iron. It is the first planet within the Midas system and is a major mining endeavor for the United Imperial States. The atmosphere is inhospitable and requires workers outside of pressurized areas to have a special suit on to stay alive. Metals are first mined from small temporary mining camps. In between these camps reside larger more permanent refinery settlements. These settlements turn the ore from the camps into usable, refined materials. These settlements then send these materials to the space elevator to be shipped to space and sold to manufacturers at Gaia.
