Hill Dwarf

As a hill dwarf, you have keen senses, deep intuition, and remarkable resilience.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

Dwarves reproduce sexually. Twinning is unheard of among the dwarves.

Growth Rate & Stages

Like elves, dwarves mature physically the same rate as humans (15-25 years), but are generally considered "young" until they are around 50. They most commonly reproduce between the ages of 50 and 200, and can live up to 350 years.

Ecology and Habitats

Although it is clear that dwarves, in general, originated in a subterranean environment, Hill Dwarves have adapted to live both on the surface and lightly beneath the surface. Their settlements tend to be found in hills (hence their name), though they can be found in a variety of geological regions.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Like their mountain cousins, Hill Dwarves organize along clan lines. The hierarchy is not as rigid, however. Hill dwarf clans will not have an autocratic ruler, eliminating the need for clan chiefs who can speak to power.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Dwarves possess enhanced visual acuity, which allows them to see in the low-light conditions of their adapted biospheres.
