Mountain Dwarf

As a mountain dwarf, you’re strong and hardy, accustomed to a difficult life in rugged terrain. You’re probably on the tall side (for a dwarf), and tend toward lighter coloration.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

Dwarves reproduce sexually. Twinning is unheard of among the dwarves.

Growth Rate & Stages

Like elves, dwarves mature physically the same rate as humans (15-25 years), but are generally considered "young" until they are around 50. They most commonly reproduce between the ages of 50 and 200, and can live up to 350 years.

Ecology and Habitats

Subraces of dwarves have adapted to a great many environments on Alzhonar, though it is clear they originated in a subterranean environment.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Mountain dwarves organize around clans. Each clan has a recognized clan chief who wields significant influence, even in the larger state (where they are generally considered councilors to the sovereign, with the right to speak plainly without consequence).

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Dwarves possess enhanced visual acuity, which allows them to see in the low-light conditions of their adapted biospheres.
