Khitu Spears

The Khitu spears are the bulk of the district's military and consist of a militia of the common folk. All military-aged (16-35 years of age) able-bodied citizens who are not engaged in any other units are expected to report for two weeks of annual training.

The Spears are divided into six Assaults, each commanded by a Mitæzh, who is assisted by an Umitæzh as aide-de-camp. Each Assault consists of ten Squads of ten men each, commanded by a Umitæzh and aided by a Dequru.
