Rhapsody's brother reaches out to the group for some help. Also, two new members join the group.

Wilimar has learned that a member of the Fence, street name Greasy Green-Eyes, has been putting feelers out for an assassin to take on a high-value political target. The leader of the Legion (the Thieves' guild that Rhapsody's family belongs to), Grapos, has always been insistent on staying away from political intrigue, so Wilimar can’t involve Legion assets, but he wants to know more about this proposed plot. Specifically, who is the target and why does the Fence want them dead?   Wilimar meets with Rhapsody and her friends at the Greasy Goose. He explains that he has learned that Greasy Green-Eyes has been putting feelers out for an assassin to take on a high-value political target. The leader of the Legion, Grapos, has always been insistent on staying away from political intrigue, so he can’t involve Legion assets, but he wants to know more about this proposed plot. Specifically, who is the target and why does the Fence want them dead?   "Rhapsody. I hope you're doing well. It's right good to see you. Dad says hello. Mum doesn't know I'm here, but she'd want me to pass on her love if she did. You know that.   "Anyway, listen, um, I have a curiosity that I'd like looked in to, and I can't do it myself. I've been hearing some rumors. What I've been hearing is that one of those people from the Fence, Ynvvæth by name, or better known as Greasy Green Eyes, is looking for someone to carry out some kind of high-profile political assassination. I don't know who.   "Now, you know Grapos don't like to get involved with politics, plus she's tryin' to avoid an all out war with the Fence, to boot. Still, I don't like not knowin' what's happening, here. I'd surely like to know who the target is and why the Fence want 'em dead. Now the word on the street is that you've been runnin' with some folks - I guess these folks here - who have gotten into a couple of sensitive scrapes of late. Sounds like you lot can handle yerselves. Do you think you could look into it for yer older brother? Hmm?   "This would need to be off the Legion's books, though. If you get in a bind, there won't be no backup or bailout. I also can't pay you, because we need deniability. I hate to ask, but I really need to know what this is about. If it is political, I'm thinkin Grapos would want to at least know about it, even if she don't want to be involved, you know what I mean?"   Rhapsody agrees and sort of volunteers the rest of the group to help her. In any case, they begin investigating and learn that Ynvvæth is looking to hire some folks to carry out two milk-run heists. The party manages to secure the contract for those heists.   The first is a simple extraction from a small office in the Central District, which is completed within just a few hours. Unfortunately, Cipher's thirst gets the better of him and he wanders off to slake it. The second heist involves breaking into a mansion in the Marivvet District to liberate an exquisite and priceless mask. The party arrives as the mansion, only to discover that Greasy Green Eyes has double-booked this particular heist. They join forces with the other robbers and break in. Unfortunately, they end up killing a substantial proportion of the folks in the mansion, but they do succeed in liberating the mask, as well as a map detailing some areas outside the Estinian town of Brundelium.   The group brings their acquired goods to the location they had been directed and they once again meet Ynvvæth (Greasy Green Eyes), who mutters under his breath, "This will be enough to pay off the Order of Shadowy Darkness to execute that stupid Councilor Vedthu Avva."   The group reports back to Wilimar with their findings that evening.
