Kronnested

Kronnested, "Crown Homestead" is the capital of Orze, spread along the narrow and flat coastal area with a backdrop of the high walls of the mystical Mistveil Tablelands.
Kronnested Proper is centered along the shallow Bay of Orze, although the city extends along the coast in both directions, taking advantage of the land along the coast that is before the Mistveil Tableland's high cliffs. There are also some docks to the north, next to the coast there, to the west of Mont Kronn.
Kronnested is almost always dreary weather, with frequent rains. As a result, the buildings have characteristically steep and sloping wooden rooves with elaborate gutter systems leading into water channels that flow down to the ocean alongside the cobblestone roads and sidewalks. Sap from nearby Rupsted helps waterproof the dark, wooden houses.
Along the streets, vegetable gardens and patches of ferns and grasses flourish almost to the point of nuisance. As a result, Kronnested is famous for its large pumpkins and melons, grown from the low sunlight and perpetual drizzle.
Walrusians and Faerie Runners sometimes utilize the city's northern docks along Kronnested's north coast, known as the Blacksand Beach.

The population is mostly human, with a sizeable minority of Djurian humans, gnomes, halflings, and tieflings.

The city is quietly managed by a bureaucracy of elders who oversee the different segments along the coastline, separating the city into districts.
