Theyvith

Theyvith is a town between the Theykaff and Vithkaff rivers, whose loggers float logs downstream after felling them high in the Rising Pinelands.  Theyvith residents have an ongoing dispute with the dwarves of the citadel Richstaf.  Logs felled upstream are floated down through Theyvith and on to Bundel before shipment to Grindel or Plant.  Theyvith, due to its proximity to Grindel, is Grindel's top provider of lumber, versus farther-away settlements like Felsuvn and Southtrees.

Town built among the trees, with many houses built into the treetops, creating multiple levels of dwellings attached to the pine trees, with pine rooves to provide shelter and a canopy effect.  The ground is reserved for bundles of logs, and the rivers contain newly-constructed water mills and dam systems for log navigation and processing.

History

Logging ventures of families of the northern Thaet Hjemsteds found working along the Theykaff and Vithkaff Rivers to be arduous since crossing two rivers, so Theyvith was created to support industry along both, utilizing the space in between and dividing the work among different families, to either side of either rivers.
