Code of Rogues

The Code of Rogues is a loose collection of rules that are upheld by most members of the Union of Thieves as well as many gangs that operate in Styx. The Code has thirteen tenets and all members of the Code of Rogues swear to uphold at least three of them consistently, if they violate this oath other rogues are in turn sworn to hunt them down and deliver them unto a swift death. The tenets are:

Thou shall not torture.

Thou shall not kill those that cannot defend themselves.

Thou shall not steal from those that have less than you.

Thou shall not lie to or cheat those that follow the Code of Rogues.

Thou shall not eat, drink or smoke without offering your broke mate some as well.

Thou shall not snitch.

Thou shall not make deals with the Great Unions.

Thou shall not commit crimes under the guise and name of another who upholds the Code of Rogues.

Thou must uphold the agreement of the share of loot and plunder.

Thou must honor the spirits and the Gods.

Thou must honor the host and the guest.

Thou must attend the Council of Magpies at least once a year.

Thou must break the Code of Serkatha when its convenient, fun or profitable,

Members of the Union of Thieves are required to defer to those that can prove they uphold more of the tenets than themselves, therefore a thief that uphold the required three tenets must defer to an honorable outlaw who upholds all thirteen.
