Floodwake

Floodwake, named for the periodic floods that brought down its buildings before the Great Dyke of Floodwake was built, is a district located below water level at the edge of Lake Aphon.

It has been settled since long before the Revolution and Foundation and was once home to many watermills used for production of goods.
Since the industrialization the watermills are not used for their old purpose anymore, now serving primarily for small scale businesses.

The Temple Parliament considers Floodwake a contained blight where crime and vagrancy fester.

The notorious tavern called the Whyrl’s Bottom, a meeting spot for lumpen, ne’erdowells and criminals is located at the run-down harborside of Floodwake.
