Kosheyt
Kosheyt are the most common kind of Undead found in the city of Styx.
Academics at the Academia Ars Magicka et Mundana still hotly debate if Kosheyt qualify as "true undead" or if they are to be considered half-undead or something else entirely.
Generally speaking kosheyt retain some of the qualities of their birth race, just without the things that make them alive.
Kosheyt rarely eat but when they do they are strict carnivores leading to some superstitions of them being cannibals.
Their bodies exist permanently in the state of decay that they had when they became undead, for some this means they're walking skeletons while others look like recently deceased corpses almost indistinguishable from living members of their race.
Ability Score Modifiers: Kosheyt tend to be hard to kill and cunning but are shunned by society due to their undead nature. They gain +2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence, -2 Charisma.
Size: Whatever their birth race was.
Type: Humanoid (Kosheyt)
Base Speed: (Slow Speed) Kosheyt due to their shambling gait have a base speed of 20 feet and their members’ speed is never modified by armor or encumbrance.
Undead Nature: Kosheyt do not age, breathe or sleep. They are immune to magic sleep effects but still need to rest to regain spell slots.
Curse of Unlife: Kosheyt do not naturally heal by resting,
Blessing of Unlife: Kosheyt are immune to drowning, suffucation, poison and disease.
Curious Consumption: Kosheyt ordinarily do not need to eat to sustain themselves. In case a kosheyt gets injured they can heal by consuming raw meat or blood with each hit point of damage done to the consumed creature restoring one of their own.
Undead Healing: Kosheyt are harmed by positive energy and healed by negative energy.
Past Death: With your game master's permission you may choose one racial trait of your birth race for your Kosheyt to have.
Lost to the Cycle: Kosheyt are not affected by raise dead and reincarnate spells or abilities as well as resurrection and true resurrection.
Languages: You can speak, read, and write Undercommon and one other language of your choice. Kosheyt with high intelligence scores can learn any Languages they want (except Druidic and other secret languages).
