Stygian Fire

Stygian Fire, which is used heavily in the industrial process of Styx, is equal parts magick and technology.

At its core it is a necromantic form of fire that has the ability to consume life energy in addition to the material carbon which ordinary fire burns.

Stygian Fire unlike other forms of necromantic flame generates heat which enables the people of Styx to increase yield of fuel sources tenfold in their industrial ovens and Steam Engines as not only each quant of carbon but also of life energy is transformed into heat.

Wood from the Leshivoi Forest is the primary fuel for this as it is incredibly high in residual life energy as a material.

The amount of fuel needed for the daily operations of industry in Styx is unimaginably high but without the use of this technology or the presence of the Leshivoi wood as a fuel it would be impossible to procure.
