Union of Clergyfolk

The Union of Clergyfolk (UC) is a small but powerful union within the People's Republic of Styx.
It is made up of those in service to the Church of Serkatha and the Goddess herself. The power of this union is largely based on the faith of the vast majority of the population of Styx where once the High Priestesses decreed laws and the God Empress ruled as a monarch directly appointed by Serkatha.

The Great Revolution changed things majorly and now the Temple Parliament is made up of elected officials of the Great Unions but since many among the masses still place absolute faith in those chosen by Serkatha the Union of Clergyfolk still receives a number of votes that goes far beyond what would be estimated considering the relative unimportance of clergy as a profession.

Though all members of the U.C. are considered direct servants of the Goddess only a small portion of them wield divine magick.
