House Orthar
House Orthar is one of the foremost exporters of high-quality sunstones on the continent. This house prides itself on the mining and shaping of the sunstones it mines to such a degree that it holds a near monopoly on the valuable gem.
Despite their control over product, House Orthar is known to be tough but fair to its workers, with allowances made for employees made sick or injured due to their work for the House. This is perhaps surprising when one looks at the gold value of House Orthar's assets; however, while House Orthar may lose some coin in the treatment of its employees, it makes its profit by searching for large, high-quality sunstones and the fabled Beacon Sunstones.
House Orthar's last successful find of a beacon sunstone caused it to split into two houses, House Orthar and House Darmir, but it still remains the only noble family to control more than one beacon sunstone for any amount of time.
