Tower of Renown

"Rising above the gilded roofs of the Goldspring District is a tower of mithril and gold, with arcane sigils written larger than life along its walls. At its base, throngs of admirers cluster at the gate, while locals pass by unaffected. Many admirers are looking to join the ranks of the Exalted and earn riches untold. But located behind those impenetrable walls are untold dangers that only the strongest will survive."

Purpose / Function

The Tower of Renown is actually most often used as a tower for large-scale magical workings. Those in the Pentarchs' service are allowed to use the power of the Pentarchy's five beacon sunstones if their goals are for the betterment of the realm.
The Tower's secondary use is as a proving ground for those attempting to join the ranks of the The Exalted. On every new moon, applicants are encouraged to wait outside the Tower doors with the appropriate entry fee in order for a chance to battle their way through the Tower's first challenge.
If successful, applicants are then sent through progressively harder challenges each week until they've completed all five of the Tower Challenges and reached the ranks of the Pentarchy's Exalted.

Architecture

The Tower of Renown is made of a smooth, dark-gray stone, overlaid with magical sigils inscribed in mithril and gold. These magical sigils are from a number of different languages and they spiral up and down the tower in seemingly chaotic patterns.
