Benacke Forest - The Great Forest (Ben-ak Foh-rest)
The Benacke Forest is commonly known as the Great Forest. Benacke forest is the largest forest on the continent.
It is an enormous, shadowy, and primal forest. It is an ancient forest that grew long before humanoids inhabited the area. The closer you trek to the centre of the forest, the larger the trees and animals grow, reaching colossal sizes at its heart. Most people won't risk the danger of venturing into the forest, and few paths run through it. Only the druids traverse the forest, and even they avoid the heart where they can. It is fabled to have all sorts of strange and otherworldly creatures within. Few who enter without a druid guide are seen again unless they are a trained ranger or other accomplished woodsmen.
Benacke Forest is primarily made up of oak, birch, beech, chestnuts, aspen, elm and maple. Lichen, moss, ferns, wildflowers and other small plants can be found on the forest floor. There are a variety of animals and creatures, both mundane and magical.
