The Sky's Crown
A holy order that worships Payas. This order was purged, along with Followers of the Ancient Light . Whether there are any remaining dedicants remains unknown. They were a vatic order, dedicated to prophecy.
The Sky's Crown was the first order of Payas. The Oracle Nivium Lleuad founded the order. It was located in Vetulonia in Frelor, on the Argent lake, in the temple of the Moon's reflection. Oracle Nivium Lleuad was a girl who lived in a village near the lake-she fell into the lake, became trapped under the ice, and drowned. When the villagers first tried to rescue her, they could not find her under the ice, but a ray of moonlight shone upon her and revealed her to them. She was rescued and resuscitated, but when she opened her eyes and the moonlight strict her, she was struck blind. The moonlight bestowed upon her the gift of prophecy. She was Payas' chosen.
The Oracle Nivium Lleuad ordered the building of the Temple of the Moon's Reflection and taught other women who joined the order how to tell the future. When they were struck with a prophecy, they went temporarily blind, called moonblink. The Seers used the frozen ice and the moon's reflection to see through time. They would wear blue robes with deep hoods and a circlet with a crescent moon upon their heads. The hood covered their eyes in shadows to hide when they went blind as their eyes went milky white. The Order of the Holy Flame referred to them as the 'Mad Moons'. In the Absterge Interrim, the Order of the Holy Flame committed vaticide when they killed all the seers and burned down the temple and all its records. All archives of the Sky's Crown are lost.
