The Crown
The Top of the World
Also known as Yenna, The Crown is the northernmost continent in Sylas. Being so far north, most of The Crown is covered in snow and tundra. The Crown is host to the Human capital city of Daggersfjord and the Leonin capital of Rek'ran. It's biggest exports and trades are fishing and hard lumber.
History:
Not much is known of the early days of The Crown. While the Leonin protest that they colonized The Crown in the early years of the mortal races, human and dwarf-kind would not take their first steps onto Yenna until 237 (Age of Exploration). Upon taking the journey from Nefra, the humans docked and founded the city of Daggersfjord. Daggersfjord grew quickly as the lumber found in the nearby forests would become the go-to wood for shipbuilding due to its extreme durability, density, and buoyancy. The fishing trade would also cause Daggersfjord to grow with the availability of so many hearty fish breeds like the Razorback Salmon and the Sawtooth.
As Daggersfjord grew, more and more races began the journey north to find work, find new places to settle or to accompany Aegis as they founded the last branch of the new, growing organization. Founding Aegis member, Fendril Jon'jonas took a company of Aegis agents north to the Crown to found the last stronghold, Frostpoint Keep.
The Leonin War
Not long after Frostpoint Keep began construction, Aegis found a new enemy in the local Leonin. Wary of the new creatures expanding into Yenna, the Leonin struck first at the Keep in hopes to drive Aegis off, but they did not expect the battle that would begin. Over the next nine bloody years, members of Aegis alongside mercenaries would battle the Leonin for their peace of the Crown. After a brutal battle near Dunamere Lake the Leonin surrendered and asked for peaceful negotiations. Fendril Jon'jonas and then Chieftain Rakk signed a peace treaty that would stop the bloodshed as long as no open conflict started from either side and as long as Frostpoint Keep was the northernmost project erected by the other races, leaving the far north solely in Lenon control. This treaty would be upheld for many, many years.
