Week 1 Homework

I've already found that in working on my new manuscript for Nanowrimo, I'm creating stubs like it's going out of style! Most of them are just a place holder or, worse, a random collection of bullets I want to remember later. Some of them have so many bullets that they aren't technically even stubs any more! But I still want to go back and make them coherent!
This cannot stand! Or, more realistically, I can't stand it. So December will be the "fix it" stage.
Is this a reasonable goal? The 15,000 is. As for getting all these stubby stubs finished? HA! No, probably not. BUT I'm a firm believer that you need to start somewhere. And this is now my somewhere. The Pantheons/Religions are my top priority to get in working order.

Pantheons of Sylinia

Scope

The pantheons are all currently large lists of placeholders, and it's starting to get a bit out of control. I've begun some high level articles that would help readers make sense of it all, but there isn't any content to link to.
Individual deities need to be fleshed out and given more details. I need this to be done so that I can work on the religions and the people that follow them.

Inspirations

Many of the non-human deities are heavily influenced by what is already cannon in the Wizard's of the Coast Dungeons and Dragons Pantheon. While this does help in the sense that I have starting points, it has slowed down progress because I keep stopping to do additional research.

Relationships

Having the entities fleshed out is a good start, but I also need to develop the relationships between the deities within their own pantheons and outside of it. The Divine Domains (once finished) will help streamline some of this.

Religion

Each time I start working on religious practices, I find I need to stop and better define the deity themselves. So the logical extension for me is to then add information about those that follow or worship the deities .

Structure

For each pantheon, there will be:

• A top level "Organization" article, similar to what is seen for The Seldarine, the Elven Pantheon. Deities will be listed out in article blocks in a 3 column structure for easy exploration. The articles will be housed under the associated race, under "Denizens of Sylinia."
• Individual deities will be added, when relevant, to The Divine chart for the domains.
• Each deity's page will be filled out.
• Relationships between the deities within a pantheon will be developed.
• Relationships between deities of different pantheons will be developed.

Week 3 Homework

Week 3 is the homepage reboot! I have to admit, I haven't spent much time on Sylinia's homepage beyond some of the general formatting things that apply to the entire world. It was way past about time.
I changed some of the category organziation for the home page. I also added a direct link to the Introduction article that stays on the homepage.
What I like the most (and will continue to need to work on) was adding the 'book cover' quick link into the continent of Qalosh. Eventually the other continents will go up there as well.

Week 4 Homework

It's almost time! I'm so excited for World Ember. Like many people, I'm taking the final days of November to get out my holiday decorations. That means it's time for my annual clean up and out of my residence, including my work desk. It's so much easier to be creative in a clean and happy space!
