Directorate of Firearms

The Directorate of Firearms is a subsidiary of the Department of Discovery focused on the research and development of firearms and black powder .

History

On 3 Alturiak 855, The Department of Discovery initiated the Directorate of Firearms as a specialized offshoot from the Directorate of Alchemy. The department appointed Essaerae Aevaris, one of their esteemed agents, as director of this new section, and their first task was to recruit capable members. In addition to the director, there are currently 4 engineers who research and develop new uses of black powder, and 12 field agents who experiment with these firearms while following the missions given by the department.
By Mirtul 855, the Directorate of Firearms began licensing its production to private manufacturers as a means to bolster the republic's military during the Bastiynia-Metalloid Crisis.
