Session 2: The town of Phandalin Report
General Summary
The Dragon Squad woke up in the Stonehill in and was greeted by the Innkeeper, Toblen Stonehill right when they sat down for breakfast.
Now he had more time in the morning, he was more interested in the curious party, but also more willing to help. They party tells parts of their story including their Quest for becoming Tenaru. Toblen Stonehill points out that a hunter in the Neverwinter Woods named Falcon also attempted to become Tenaru back in the day, he might be a lead to the events that unfolded.
He showed them his map of the swordcoast and relayed that Adabra Gwynn was an old lover that he wanted to see safe. He offered the party free Food and Board for 2 nights + last night and a map to Gnomengarde if they convinced her to come back to town.
He showed them the direction of Umbrage Hill, but with Captain Bassileus Jarre 's great idea to navigate with the stars during the day they got utterly lost .
When they finally came to the old mill they encountered a decrepited Manticore bashing at the door of the windmill. Adabra Gwynn leaning out the window of the second floor asking for help.
The party tries to resolve the situation without conflict but when Captain Bassileus Jarre tries to intimidate the Manticore the cornered creature sees no other escape and attacks the Dragon Squad.
Without much issue the party deals with the weakened monster and to their surprise Adabra Gwynn isn't interested in coming back to Phandalin.
Asturius Krystala skillfully harvests the skin of the Manticore which could be used to create some magic armor and just after Adabra Gwynn lowers down a potion of healing as a reward for saving her before she shuts her doors shut.
Sword of the morning Lucifer Xenophilius uses his immpecible charm to convince Adabra Gwynn to follow them to town and they make it back to Phandalin just around Dusk. They see townmaster Harbin Wester for the reward and found his house to be shut completely with the townmaster unwilling to come out. Adabra Gwynn lets Harbin Wester know she is safe and the townmaster rewards the party with 25 Gold Pieces which they divide equally amongst each other. The Dragon Squad returns to the Stonehill Inn and Toblen Stonehill is elated to see Adabra Gwynn Safe and sound. He upholds his promise and cleans the party's dept, returns Sword of the morning Lucifer Xenophilius his father's ring and gives rounds to the whole tavern in celebration of Adabra Gwynn 's return. Asturius Krystala and Sword of the morning Lucifer Xenophilius decide to check out Linene Graywind in her trading post, the Lionshield Coster. Linene Graywind offers to turn the Manticore hide into some Bracers of Archery for 150g. Again, Sword of the morning Lucifer Xenophilius comes in with his incredible charm and offers a monage a troix to the lady Linene Graywind. She offers 50g off the price, and is willing to offer a loan of 100g to get the item made if Asturius and Lucifer perform adequately. Unfortunately for them, they don't and although Linene Graywind enjoyed herself, it wasn't enough to get the loan. So Asturius decided to hold on to the Manticore hide for now. Meanwhile High Elf Groggle Glitterbeard and Captain Bassileus Jarre are creating a ruckus in the tavern with Adabra Gwynn, drinking gallons of Ale in merriment of their first success. The next morning the party sets out on the way to Gnomengarde with their newly aquired map but on the way they get attacked by a band of Goblins! Asturius Krystala barely escapes with his live and the rest of the party cleanly decapitates all Goblins. Most notably High Elf Groggle Glitterbeard rips of the head of one of the goblins with his bare hands. When the party finally makes it to the cabin they set out watches and luckily enough, don't get attacked and the whole party has a full rest. They also awaken a bit more of their dormant Tenaru powers and they level up to level 3!
