Elari (el-AH-ree)
Formed at the dawn of Creation, the Elari are a group of powerful guardian spirits. Formed from the divine essence of the Creator themselves, the Elari were responsible for aiding them in ordering the fundamental elements that made up the universe and its many realms. While the Elari largely remain separate from the affairs of the Mortal Realm and its inhabitants, instead focusing their efforts on overseeing their domains, they are nonetheless highly regarded by the Mortal Races for their role in shaping the world, with many of Taevas faiths being built around the ideals they champion.
Structure
There doesn't appear to be any sort of hierarchy among the Elari, as all of the elements they're tied to are regarded as equally vital to Creations existence, and no one is considered more important than the other. Instead, each Elari is granted sovereignty over a domain consisting of their related element, as well as a number of ideals tied to that element. The Elari are, however, divided into two groups, the Empyreans, who hold sovereingty over the seven fundamental elements of Creation, and the Divines, who hold sovereingty over the lesser elements descended from them, though despite serving the the Empyreans, the Divines are not seen as lesser compared to them. Additionally, due to being responsible for their existence, all of the Elari answer to the Creator.
Public Agenda
When Creation was new, the Elari were formed by the Creator to order the fundamental elements (light, Aether, Mortality, Water, Earth, Nature, and Air) of the universe and its realms. After creation was fully formed, the Elari shifted their purpose to safeguarding the balance between these elements, while the Creator themselves focused their efforts on maintaining and protecting Creation as a whole.
Cosmological Views
Before anything existed, there was the Creator. At some point, the Creator chose to use their boundless power to shape the universe and its many realms from the formless chaos of the Void, marking the beginning of existence. With the foundations of Creation laid out, the Creator took a small fraction of their power, and used it to create the Elari, lesser guardian spirits, to aid them in ordering the elemental forces of their newly created universe (interestingly, some refer to the Elari as the "First Race", as they were the first living, thinking beings to exist in the universe besides the Creator). With their work done, the Creator turned their attention towards maintaining and safeguarding the universe, while the Elari did likewise with their respective elements. Below are listed each of the Elari, as well as the element and ideals associatted with each of them:

Granted Divine Powers
The Elari are known to grant some of their divine magic (commonly known to the Mortal Races as "miracles") to mortals that they consider to be especially dedicated to their respective ideals. These individuals typically go on to become either Paladins (warriors who use their divine magic to empower their martial abilities) or Clerics (those who use their divine magic in a similar manner as ordinary mages), and are often found among various religious or knightly orders. So long as the individual adheres to the ideals of the Elari who granted them their power, they may use divine magic, though it remains up to the Elari's discretion when certain Miracles may be used, and they can strip this power from those who've strayed from the path. It's not entirely understood why the Elari would grant this power to mortals, though many believe that the Elari do do because they believe that these mortals would be able to aid them in safeguarding Creation.
