Kythoran (KAI-foh-RAHN)
Kythoran is an ancient and powerful Dragon, whose existence can be traced back to the time when Dragons ruled over Taeva in the distant past. An arrogant, prideful, and vain being, Kythoran is best known for instigating the war that ended his kinds dominance over the world, a decision born of his fear of the mortal races threatening his power and his anger at the Dragons who attempted to stop him. Though he has remained trapped within his Drakonite prison since those long-forgotten days, Kythorans ambition of reclaiming dominance over the world remains as strong as ever, and with the group known as the Seekers of the Fallen Dragon under his influence, he has remained a hidden threat to the people of Taeva in spite of his imprisonment.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
The Seekers of the Fallen Dragon (the cult built around Kythoran with the intention of freeing him) use a stylised, front profile depiction of Kythorans face to mark their members and most important strongholds.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Kythoran has a large, powerful body, and was as physically strong as he was magically adept. During a clash with his "brother" near the end of the Dragonfall, Kythorans body became completely petrified into Drakonite, and now resembles a massive crystalline statue constantly glowing with a green-black light.
Facial Features
Kythoran has an almost rectangular snout, and four large, backwards facing horns (two on each side, with the lower horns bieng around half the size of the upper ones).
Special abilities
As a Dragon, Kythoran is an immensely powerful magic user, skilled in Draconic Magic in particular, with many of their abilities manifesting though blasts of raw Aether, spatial manipulation, illusion magic, and crystal magic. As a hidden benefit of his imprisonment, he can grant some of his strength and power to those who possess a shard of the Drakonite that now forms his body, "see" the world through said shards (his primary means of learning about the world beyond his prison), and is able to influence those who are near a shard of his Drakonite body.

Personal history
Since little to no records of Taevas ancient past exist, much of what is known of Kythorans life prior to his imprisonment comes from Kythoran himself (though due to his self-aggrandizing nature, it's difficult to say how much of this information is true). According to him, Kythoran was among the first generations of Dragons to exist within the world (or at least a direct descendant of one of the first Dragons), and was a witness to many of the events that shaped the world of Taeva, including the war between the Dragons and Giants, and the rise of the Mortal Races. Kythoran also claims that it was the divine birthright of the Dragons to rule unchallenged over the world and it's inhabitants, citing the immense gap in power between the Mortal Races and the Dragons as proof of this fact (this is in spite of the general understanding that the Dragons were initially created to serve as guardians of the world and the balance of magic).
When the first mages began to appear among the Mortal Races, Kythoran was the most outspoken among his fellow Dragons against their existence, believing that their ability to use magic (an ability he believed only the Dragons should possess) went against the natural order, and had the potential to pose a threat to all Dragonkind (many believe he was actually more concerned about the threat these mages posed to his own power, and was angered by the idea of these "lesser" beings having even a fraction of their power). While most of the Dragons were split between wanting to nurture or restrict the abilities of these new mages, Kythoran and a few like-minded supporters instead chose to actively hunt down and exterminate any non-Dragons who showed the ability to use magic. This action earned the ire of those Dragons who didn't share his hatred of mages, and marked the beginning of the Dragonfall.
The Dragonfall ended in a final clash between Kythoran and his "brother", a fellow Dragon of his generation named Andrathion, with Kythoran becoming prematurely petrified into Drakonite and buried under a collapsing mountain. There he would remain, a prisoner within his own body and completely cut off from the outside world, until a group of Drakai Keepers stumbled upon his resting place. Appealing to their deeply-rooted respect for the Dragons, and promising to restore all Dragonkin to their rightful place as the masters of the world in exchange for his freedom, Kythoran was able to convince these Keepers to aid him in his ambitions, forming the beginnings of the cult known as the Seekers of the Fallen Dragon.

Failures & Embarrassments
Despite the thousands of years that have passed since then, Kythoran and his loyalists defeat during the Dragon War still weighs heavily on him, and he considers the existence of mages among the Mortal races to be a constant reminder of that failure.
Intellectual Characteristics
Due to being an ancient Dragon, Kythoran possesses in-depth knowledge of Taevas past, as well as a mastery over magic, that few other non-draconic beings can match. Additionally, Kythoran is skilled at influencing others, thanks to both his natural draconic charisma and his magical ability.
Morality & Philosophy
Kythoran strongly believes that Dragons are inherently superior to all other forms of life in Taeva, and that all mortal beings exist only to serve Dragons. This belief colours nearly all aspects of Kythorans personality, including his hatred of mages (due to his belief that only Dragons should be able to use magic), his prideful nature, and his relationshi with the cult built around him (while he still considers them to be beneath him, he still tolerates them due to being Drakai, as well as them "knowing their place" as his servants).
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Kythoran wishes to free himself from his Drakonite prison, reestablish Draconic dominance over Taeva, and exterminate all rivals to his power (namely the mages of the Mortal Races).
Vices & Personality flaws
Kythoran is prideful and arrogant, even when compared to other Dragons.
Social
Social Aptitude
Kythoran is highly charismatic to those he considers worth manipulating, but is often dismissive of those he has no use for. He's also extremely confident in his (admittedly formidable) skill, a result of his prideful nature, and makes no attempt to hide his ego.
Speech
Kythoran has a deep and commanding voice, and has an authorative demeanor regardless of whether he's trying to manipulate others, or dismissing their presence.
Relationships
Relationship Reasoning
As the leader of the Seekers, Kythoran is responsible for communing with Kythoran, the figure around which the cult was formed.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Arlasar shares Kythorans views on the right of the strong to rule over the weak, as well as the supremacy of Dragons over all other beings.
