Ohto the Broken
Ohto the Broken, once a young noble from the frigid land of Chalornok, was born in the esteemed hold of Simidd within the city of Brelisk. Blessed with noble lineage and high expectations, his parents maneuvered their connections to secure him a coveted place at the southern court in the Parliament of Leaves. While many would have considered it a privilege, Ohto found himself bored and disillusioned in the realm of politics and power. His heart yearned for the exhilaration of combat rather than the art of conversation.
Despite his disinterest in courtly affairs, Ohto possessed great intelligence and unwavering ethical convictions. It was during a noteworthy event, marked by his exceptional valor, that he caught the attention of the Knights of the Crimson Bloom. Impressed by his skill and integrity, they extended an invitation to join their esteemed order, which Ohto accepted with pride.
Transitioning to the present day, the once-gleaming hero of the Crimson Bloom has weathered the passage of time. Now in his 30s, Ohto serves the Order of the Razor, a position that was not entirely of his choosing. Fate dealt him a cruel hand, resulting in the loss of an eye and an arm, leaving him a shadow of his former self. The details of how he acquired these injuries remain shrouded in mystery, but they stand as a reminder of the trials he has endured.
Once revered at court, Ohto's fall from grace became a catalyst for his embittered demeanor. The chip on his shoulder grows with each passing day, particularly as he is tasked with the responsibility of training "children" in the ways of the sword. Resentful of what he perceives as the derailment of his once-promising career, Ohto's unpleasant nature and sharp tongue make him a difficult presence. However, beneath his hardened exterior lies an undeniable expertise in swordsmanship, even with his off-hand.
Ohto's journey takes an unexpected turn when he becomes the teacher of Dinu Skhuzh, a young Razor who unwittingly embarks on an epic quest that will shape the future of their world. As the destinies intertwine, Ohto finds himself caught in the web of this grand adventure, grappling with his past, his scars, and the reluctant duty he carries.
