The Lost unlike other the other forms of The Shade possess the most human-esque appearance and while being slightly taller then the average human can almost be mistaken for a human at a glance however at a closer look The Lost look disturbingly inhuman, lacking features and having pitch black skin

Genetics and Reproduction

Lost like other Shades do not reproduce but also do not produce more of itself like more base forms. Rather Lost have to be in most cases created by a secondary source

The Lost is the most advanced form of The Shade resulting from either immense spirit energy being consumed by a Shade or by the total corruption of a human's spirit energy

Social Structure

The Lost, when the majority existed in the times of the old war they acted as leaders and commanded the armies of The Shade against humanity. Due to both their above average intelligence and strength as compared to other forms of Shade they were feared by both sides human and Shade allowing the Lost to devastate the battlefield. Now however since the old war, the Lost were thought to be extinct and long forgot

Facial characteristics

Unlike Ghouls or Ghasts the Lost forms of The Shade have no facial features and despite their more solid and human forms the Lost share no similar features

Average Intelligence

Vastly intelligent compared to other forms of Shade the Lost have shown the ability to reason and organize other Shades and function as a sort of pseudo leader

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Despite not having features usually capable of human senses The Lost do possess the Shade's natural ability to sense a creature based on the creatures spirit energy allowing greater locating abilities. The Lost are also capable of releasing a high pitched scream that attracts Shades to its location
