Personal history

Russell was born in a remote part of the Kingdom of Mantle and was raised in the wilds surrounding the walled capital and spent his youth fighting and getting into trouble. Later on, Russell was recruited to the Knights of Mantle after it was discovered that he was a spirit wielder and he spent a majority of his young adult life on the battlefield fighting against the Shade, where he was nicknamed the Shinigami for his deadliness both on and off the battlefield. However, after being paired with a group of new Knights Russell distanced himself from the war believing that it was pointless if young knights were being sent off to die pointlessly, this mindset drove Russell to distance himself from the Kingdom of Mantle after disagreeing with their war strategy. It is believed that Russell grew incredibly close with one of the members of the group of Knights he was assigned to and after a surprise attack resulted in the death of the group Russell disappeared from Mantle swearing off fighting completely. Russell later resurfaced working as a freelancer for the Kingdoms and has been spending most of his time now either helping Ozwin with his plans or bothering Olivia in Alveria

History

The two meet many years ago on the battlefield which led to their first confrontation because of Russell's method of fighting and Olivia wanting to follow the book and "play it safe". The parted way soon after, Russell going off as a freelancer for the Kingdoms and Olivia returning to Alveria to work alongside Ozwin as his assistant. However, they always seem to run into each other often leading to confrontations and destruction.
