The Roll of Years, Part 1

General Summary

1374 (Year of Lightning Storms)

In the Year of Lightning Storms, Queen Christine Dragonsbane gave birth to a daughter, Galfrey Dragonsbane.
Imbrar II was crowned King of Impiltur on his sixteenth birthday (Marpenoth 24, 1374 DR). He took the throne from the aged Queen-Regent Sambryl, who herself gained power when Imbrar's uncle was killed just before his coronation. Much hope was placed in Imbrar by his subjects that he would reinvigorate Impilturan society.

1375: The Year of Risen Elfkin

Imbrar II issues a decree that Impilturan merchants would not trade with the city of Heliogabalus until the pretender, Dimian Ree, has abdicated all authority over that city and turned the Damaran capital over to the true King of Damara, Gareth Dragonsbane.
In a gambit to retain his power and become King of Damara, Dimian Ree deals with the powers of Hell. He summons all of the guildmasters of Heliogabalus to a conference and serves poisoned wine to sacrifice them all to the Pit. Unfortunately for the ambitious Baron, Iluminus and the Lancebearers join forces to stop the mass sacrifice. As Dimian's forces are defeated, Angus Silverblade and the Mistmaster, Garath Blackhand, enjoin the new heroes to follow Ree, "It's your story now. It's been your story for quite a while. Kill the fucker"
Count Dorlain Tasgall speeds the party's journey to Morovar by sharing his castle's teleportation circle. This allows Iluminus to confront Ree before he either fled or summoned more help from the pits of hell. In the final confrontation, Ree gives up his soul and is possessed by a Pit Fiend, but is ultimately defeated by Iluminus.

1379: The Year of the Lost Keep

Darmshall falls to an unknown foe. No one is left alive to tell the story, and the dead are dismembered to such an extent that even Speak with Dead offers no clues. The Rageborn of Palischuk blame the growing power around Castle Perilous, but their scouts can't even approach the fortress due to its demonic guardians.
At this point however, King Dragonsbane is hesitant to place his trust in Palischuk's account. Paving the way for disaster.
