The Journals of Dr. Hans Adelberg
Life, Crime
SAFEGUARD brings their action team, working with Captain America, to Wewelsburg, Germany, in search of the journals of Dr. Hans Adelberg, who led something called "Project Bell" either during World War II or shortly afterward.
Captain America knew of Dr. Adelberg, the mind behind the project that created the
Red Skull. Cap says that before he went into the ice, he and the Howling Commandoes were trying to locate Dr. Adelberg over some new project. Cap doesn't know much but does remember the project was called Rebirth. Then renamed to "Bell" later for unknown reasons. The project was to create meta-powered sleeper agents among the Allied forces.
According to Agent Coulson, some journals were tracked down in a museum in the town of Wewelsburg, Germany. The museum is in an old castle there by the same name. The whole castle is the museum. Coulson stresses that they need to know what is in those journals. Two are in Wewelsburg. Recover the journals!
Captain America will enter the town separately as backup.
Sahara has been asked to go along in case more of these scarabs show up, or more Egyptian references.
This will be outside US borders, so get solid cover IDs and do not blow them. SAFEGUARD doesn’t need the trouble with Interpol.
((Spoilers: they got blown.))
Tales of Justice is a work of pure, unabashed fiction. In fact, it considers itself rather heroic and quite proud of itself. Names of characters, places, events, organizations, and locations are creations of the author's imagination for this fictitious setting. Some have been inspired by other sources, which will be credited at the top right of the article.
Permission is not granted to use this material to feed a so-called Artificial Intelligence chatbot.
Any resemblance to persons living, dead, or reanimated is coincidental. The opinions expressed are those of the characters and should not be confused with either of the authors, since the characters and authors tend to disagree a lot.
