Symmer
Symmer is the continent south of Talica. Its name was not randomly created. The place is a scorched hellhole that makes life in most of its regions nearly impossible to anything that is not a cockroach. The Legion has had its sights set on it for centuries, but it has so far been unable to conquer a single bit of territory.
Geography
Symmer's northern regions are especially deadly. Ashstorms, rains of fire and sudden eruptions of small volcanoes make wandering them without an elementalist wayfarer a suicidal task. The land there is mainly covered with ashes and very little vegetation.
Southern regions enjoy the natural bounty that regular rains of ash provide. It is there where most civilized cities are built, and where the Symmerian empire thrives. A single, wide river runs through this part of the land, attracting life towards it in an unparalleled way in the whole continent.
Fauna & Flora
Symmer has a plethora of deadly insects roaming its skies, lands and water. These insects are usually eaten by spiders and scorpions that are in turn eaten by bigger and bigger reptiles that eat each other. Few of these creatures are completely harmless to people.
Down south, people herd cattle much like they do in Talica, although theirs requires much less water to survive and grow.
Natural Resources
As expected, Symmer offers its residents a bountiful share of ashes and charcoal. Beneath said ashes, it is possible to find several precious metals and volcanic rocks, if one is able to live long enough to swing a pickaxe.
