Iäst Jadzeran

Lord Iäst Jadzeran is a tan gnoll with spots, very washed out greyish fur, and a long brown mane shot through with grey. He is very beautiful and well kept, or was--since his brother's death he slowly became more and more rumpled. With his shockingly green eyes, he was known as quite the flirt in his youth. Now, however, he is considered an eccentric and a known alcoholic.
Unlike most Chandran nobility, Iäst keeps a very small staff whom he has close relationships to, much to the chagrin of his neighbors. He purposefully keeps his gardens somewhat overgrown to deter visitors, and has an entire room of his estate filled with indoor plants. He has a love of reading and history, but has become somewhat agoraphobic in his middle-age. He welcomed Abiyr Arsolum. Alden Blackwell. Katarine de Masque, Gneiss, and Bill Stoneheaver into his estate at Louvre the Jackal's request, giving them some historical context on the city's noble clans and culture and granting them his official patronage to access the upper levels of the city.
Iäst's relationship with Louvre stretches back many years, when they were both in their early twenties in court. Their shared interests started an intimate friendship that has lasted through the Jadzeran clan's ultimate shame when Barak Jadzeran was executed in their own estate. Iäst understands why Louvre maintains a wide public distance from him. Lately, they have tried to convince him to stop drinking and return to the public eye, which he struggles with.
