Drakoria, a land where ancient dragon magic permeates every aspect of life, is a kingdom renowned for its formidable dragon populace and their kin. This realm, marked by diverse climates ranging from volcanic islands to frosty tundras, is a testament to the rich and varied nature of its inhabitants and landscapes.   Drakoria's regions include:
  • The Ember Islands: Volcanic islands inhabited by Fire dragons.
  • The Verdant Valley: Fertile plains, home to non-draconic races and communities.
  • The Wyrmrest Highlands: Rugged highlands favored by metallic dragons.
  • The Scaled Expanse: Enchanted forests housing a magical tree, the source of Drakoria's power.
  • The Frostbite Wastes: Frozen tundras where Ice dragons thrive.
  • The Dragon's Crown: The central meeting place for the Dragon Council.

  • Stormwatch Highlands: An island with mountains covered in continuous storms, favored by storm dragons.
Drakoria is governed by a High Council, which includes representatives from each major dragon type as well as dragonborn, dragonkin, and non-draconic races. The High Council ensures that the interests of all regions and races within Drakoria are represented. The council meets regularly at The Dragon's Crown, the central meeting place for the High Council.   The Ancient Dragons were the first to establish the High Council, aiming to create a unified and harmonious continent where all dragon types and races could coexist peacefully.

Structure

The organization of Drakoria is hierarchical, with the High Council at the top. Each region has its own local councils and leaders who report to their respective High Councilor. The High Councilors then convene to discuss and make decisions affecting the entire continent.

Public Agenda

  • To protect and preserve the ancient traditions and magic of Drakoria.
  • To maintain peace and unity among the diverse inhabitants of the continent.
  • To expand their knowledge and horde valuable allies, artifacts, and wisdom.
  • To ensure the prosperity and protection of Drakoria from external threats.

Demography and Population

Drakoria has a diverse population, with a mix of dragons, dragonborn, dragonkin, and non-draconic races. The population is spread across the different regions, each with its unique demographic makeup.

Foreign Relations

Drakoria, as a powerful and resource-rich continent, maintains a complex web of foreign relations. Its interactions with other kingdoms and continents are shaped by its wealth of magical resources, strategic importance, and the draconic influence of its rulers. Drakoria is known for its formidable defense, diplomatic prowess, and strategic alliances.   Allies and Strategic Partners:
  • Eouma: Drakoria maintains a strong alliance with Eouma, valuing its inclusive policies and trade potential. The two realms frequently exchange magical resources, knowledge, and skilled personnel. Eouma's respect for diverse races aligns well with Drakoria's varied inhabitants.
  • Kamulos: The wealth and mining expertise of Kamulos make it a valuable trade partner for Drakoria. Both kingdoms benefit from the exchange of precious metals and enchanted items. Kamulos often looks to Drakoria for magical enhancements to its mining operations.
  Rivalries and Tensions:
  • Joul'unn: Drakoria's draconic rulers and Joul'unn's human supremacist policies create a natural tension. The two kingdoms have had numerous skirmishes over resources and ideological differences. Drakoria's protection of non-human races makes it a target of Joul'unn's expansionist ambitions.
  • Valoria: While not outright hostile, Drakoria and Valoria often find themselves in competition over magical resources and trade routes. Valoria's emphasis on order and structure contrasts with Drakoria's more fluid and mixed economy, leading to occasional diplomatic conflicts.
Drakoria frequently engages in the exchange of magical knowledge and artifacts to strengthen diplomatic ties. This strategy helps create dependencies on Drakoria's magical expertise.  Drakoria publicly promotes itself as a guardian of peace and stability in Tanaria. This image helps garner support from smaller kingdoms and non-aligned regions. Drakoria also provides humanitarian aid to regions affected by natural disasters or conflicts. This aid often includes magical healing and reconstruction efforts, strengthening its reputation as a benevolent power.   Drakoria has established non-aggression pacts with several smaller kingdoms and regions to ensure the security of its borders. These pacts often include clauses for mutual defense and economic cooperation.   Drakoria's military, led by dragons and dragonborn warriors, is one of the most formidable in Tanaria. This strength acts as both a deterrent and a means of securing favorable diplomatic terms. Drakoria actively seeks strategic alliances with other powerful entities to counterbalance potential threats. These alliances often involve mutual defense agreements and coordinated military training exercises.

Agriculture & Industry

The regions of Drakoria are largely self-sufficient, each specializing in different forms of agriculture and industry. The Ember Islands produce volcanic minerals, the Verdant Valley focuses on farming, the Wyrmrest Highlands harness storm energy, and the Scaled Expanse harvests magical resources from the forests.
