Vela, a member of the Seraphelle, comes from a village that was torn apart by war. Her family was lost, and she grew up with a fierce determination to seek justice and protect the innocent. Her natural magical talents led her to the Order of Arelian, where she aimed to use her abilities for good.
Vela grew up an only child born under a meteor shower – a portent of the chosen. Trained by the only other magic user in her village, Castor, until she was age 10. It was then her village was attacked by Leonin soldiers who decimated it, killing everyone present at the time, including her family. Some of her people supposedly escaped, but they were gone by the time she came out of her hiding place three days after the attack.

Path to the Order of Arelian
It took Vela fifteen years to travel to the Keep. For most of her journey, she was avoiding her prophecy, mad that everyone had died and left her. Shortly after she left her village, she was captured by a group selling slaves, and bought by a traveling apothecary for bloodletting so that her blood could be used in various concoctions. At sixteen, she finally escaped and spent the next nine years running from bounty hunters trying to collect her. Finally, she decided that she couldn’t run from her destiny any longer, and finally arrived at the Keep. Initially harboring prejudice against the Leonin due to her past, Vela struggled when she was fated to bond with Tenzin, a Leonin Guardian.The Prophecy
