Grecodar's Skeleton Key
Much of the Asmain and Shaca communities run their lives with caffeine in hand and a key ring on their hip. Since the War on Magic began, these regions of Orie Country have been moving non-stop. With the ability to open doors being a point of status, Ories will keep their keys visible. Even to have a single key can be considered a point of pride.
An Orie may share their key ring with another to admire it; however, it is impolite to stare at another's keys or ask questions. Additionally, to request another person's keyring, even if it's just to look, is tantamount to demanding The Grecodar to wash your family's laundry.
The demand for keys has caused an underground key ring. Many people will buy keys, not knowing where they go, just to weigh down their hip. There has also been an influx of people buying items for their homes that can be kept under lock and key. Keys are for opening doors and keeping secrets, after all.
To hide in plain sight, the Order of the Grecodar has fashioned its own key design after that of their namesake. One of their keys looks just like any other. Perhaps a bit ornate in a common sort of way, like that of a jewelry box. Perhaps a bit worn, like something from centuries past.
However, these keys are not worn through centuries of use nor is their design truly common. To any individual on the street, one would assume the old key with vines is a family key or fits into an antique jewelry box. An Order member would see the eye hidden in the leaves.
In addition to aiding identifying Order members, these keys have also been internally magicked to fit any door. This ability comes in particularly handy for the floating meetings held by the Order. To conceal any trace of magic, the keys are insulated with a layer of crimstone-steel by the science branch of the Order.
