Session 07 - Assassin
General Summary
The evening
The party retreats to the small inn in Serwick to get some celebratory drinks with Saleth Ylladan after they managed to find the Amulet and defeated three Ogres together. While Keth takes a walk around the woods to gather a new friend, Thirokk and Auri decide to go bed to early. When Keth joins the drinking later, Saleth suggests a game to get to know each other better. During "Honesty or Skill" there is some heavy flirting between Keth and Saleth. The game is interrupted when a stranger walks in and seemingly has all of the townsfolk immediately enticed. Keth suspects some kind of magical influence coming from the beautiful stranger, and Kileana notices that they seem focused on Saleth specifically. With not much to do against it, they continue the game and the stranger takes a room upstairs before they do. The party decides Saleth should share a room with Keth, for protection of course, and Kileana arranges for a room with only one bed, as it is a wingman's job.The Attack
The next morning they start to make their way back to Kehill. Auri and Thirokk walk a little bit further down the road out of sight when a voice commands Saleth to stop and she does. She starts making her way over to the stranger appearing between some trees when Keth catches her in a tight grip and in a fit of fury the Half-orc throws an attack over to the stranger, starting a fight. They obviously try to get to Saleth somehow and they attack her and wound her badly with their spear when their illusion drops and red skin, some horns, and a large pair of leathery wings are uncovered. The fight is hard and the Cambion takes a lot of damage until it decides it isn't worth it and tries to gain some distance between themselves and the party but before they can teleport away, Kileana delivers the final blow to it and it dies. Upon inspecting the corpse, the party sees a burn-mark looking like an open hand with slightly extended fingers.Rewards Granted
