Billingham
Built on the edge of a long stretch of land spiraling out of the Winded Bluffs, this city overlooks much of the sea trade along the coastlines of the Darian Conclave. The second largest city within the Conclave after Cael Velari, this heavy port city is made upon the land and built around the water in long whirling rafts of coastline.
Demographics
Ranging from exotic to familiar denizens, many people living here often embody their free spirit and free-ranging ideals that come with their racial ideas. Very few noble houses and lords rule over the free peoples within the city.
Government
Loose democracy. Much of the free-spirited people within the city are given voices for who they believe would be good at representing or even just being a good leader for a certain group. As such, the noble houses rise and fall in power per their voices for the leaders of the city.
Defences
Defenses within the city are few, especially for on-land incursions. But on the waves and around the ports and outer walls of the cities line the heavy rocky shorelines with seawalls upon them. Lighthouses armed with heavy siege weapons, boats patrolling constantly, and even heavy magical objects keeping an eye under the waves make it an impressive feat to assault the city.
Industry & Trade
The industry here is heavily naval. Many of the working minds work on construction and repair of vessels, as well as improving their strength through inventions and work constantly. The city is known for its cutting-edge naval technology.
Infrastructure
Much of the infrastructure is coastal. Long ports, bridges, seawalls, aqueducts, and canals are built in and underneath the long stretching city.
Assets
The main assets of Billingham are the protective ports within the long outer curve of the land on the northern side. These ports stretch for miles and house much of the longer traveling vessels that Cael Velari does not have room for. This gives the city much wealth and power with their naval might
