Earthborer Dragon

As many dragons above favor the skies and flying through the air, these creatures prefer to burrow through the land. Carving and digging through the earth, rock, and sand with long slender bodies, these creatures are at home above as below the earth. Sophisticated in some areas, while more feral in others.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Long and thin bodies with scales, spines, and all matter of jagged objects that carve through dirt, sand, and stone with ease. Long tails with pointed ends follow suit for good measure

Biological Traits

As with most dragons, larger than life sizes and lifespans in comparison with the other creatures of the planet.

Genetics and Reproduction

Sexual Reproduction with egg laying. Eggs take about 8 years or so to hatch.

Growth Rate & Stages

Quick to adolescence unlike most dragons, but getting to adult and beyond takes a long time like most

Ecology and Habitats

Primarily desert environments where it is easy to dig around. They have been known to move in the air to new locations on occasion however.

Omnivores, usually favoring root vegetables however

If ever cold, they bury themselves within the dirt and hibernate until warmer months

Eggs are usually placed in a secluded cave deep under the earth, and guided towards by ready partners
